In honor of Boris Gorpnakov’s favorite day, we are beginning an incredible site reconstruction! Starting today with more headers. Oh yes! It’s what everyone’s been waiting for.

Most of you probably already know most of what’s been happening lately, so this post is for anyone who hasn’t gotten on my email list, or has changed their email address, or is just now hearing about this project.
Because of the flooding that was rampant throughout Eastern Iowa this June, my carefully planned summer schedule is no longer applicable, and I have to scramble to try to get things (like shooting) done as soon as possible. If you haven’t already contacted me about you schedule in July, please do so immediately. If you told me that you couldn’t participate because the old shooting schedule did not work for you, you can still get back into the project.
Thanks,
Edward
Hello my dear filmmakers. We arrived back in the States, glanced at a big screen TV in an airport, and saw that our favorite cereal-making city was under water. Wow. Did you get any of that in your movie, or are you waiting till things clear up? Hope things are better soon.
Anyway, do you folks want your own website? Is it still called Meatloaf? We could set one up pretty easily.

I have officially started the new script. I have written two of the shorter scenes so far. Now, you’re probably all (if there are any of you actually checking the site) expecting me to post it on the site. But, I think I’ll do something a little different. Anyone who wants to get each little piece as it’s written can email me, asking me to keep them posted. This will ensure that I’m only repeatedly bothering people with new scenes if they asked for it. It will also help give me some idea how much people are actually checking up on this.
BTW, you should state your name in your email, so that I know for sure who’s who.
Thanks,
Edward
I’m starting broadly, and plan to write the individual scenes soon, as I can steal the time. Comments are welcome.
Updated:
Scenes – Meatloaf v.2 – 2.doc
P.S. Matt, Ben, I’ve tried to contact you. Did that work at all?
Alright. Maybe the shock of us acctually doing this movie was too much for me to handle. I fogot to raise up a crew. Here’s what’s been filled as far as I know:
 Director: Me (Trey Lewis)
Writers: Edward Talmage, Trey Lewis, Matt Wheeler, anyone else who visits this site and comments.
 Cinnematographor/director of photography: John Allen
We still need cameras for documentaries and filming, an editing team, possibly a producer, gaffer, and cast (actors) but we won’t worry about them until we get the script together. So don’t be shy! Post here! Apply for the position today! Act now and we’ll throw in this free* cutlery set!
As requested, I’m uploading my draft script for Meatloaf, but I have some serious reservations about actually using it. To my mind, it’s just Asylum all over again, and though that might be somewhat fun, I think that it would 1) be pointless, and 2) not be as fun as the original. We need to either remake it heavily ( The whole Boris/Dmitri evilness/genius switch thing doesn’t work, we need to get out of the basement, even if it’d be a different basement, and so on. ), or try another project. Don’t get me wrong, if this is what everyone really wants to do, I’ll help all I can, but I think that there are other movies we could make that would be more fun, interesting, and challenging. I have an idea or maybe two, and if anyone else has an idea, I’d say post it. Work can still proceed on Meatloaf, of course. My suggestion for posting ideas would be a page or two, either an excerpt or a summary, of the idea. Opinions?
Alright, People! It’s a new year, and I’ve decided to revive Meatloaf!Â
If you could, Edward, I’d like you to post your script draft here, and we can all have our input. Then from there we’d need to hold auditions for crew, then cast, and from there we’d get to work on filming. I’d like input on this, just so I know people are acctually still reading this.
Let’s do this, people!
I’m sorry to have to announce this, but we have decided that there is no practical way for us to make Meatloaf this summer. We are all too busy with work and stuff, and the school year is fast approaching. Our apologies to any and all who are disappointed by this decision, but we just don’t think it’s possible this year.
Hopefully we will be able to make this or another movie next summer.
I called Matt last week. He’s very busy, and does not have the time to do all the organizing, writing, and other such stuff that would be necessary to make this movie.
Now, before you all get discouraged, Matt also said that he had no problem with us going ahead with the movie. He said he might even be able to help with the camera work.
Does this mean that Meatloaf is on? Unfortunately not. We still don’t know. John and I have been talking, and we may or may not be able to go through with this. I don’t have much time this summer, and there are plenty of other things that I need to do, but I would really like to see the movie made. I have written a script, so a large part of the pre-production work is actually done. If we’re going to make the movie, our schedule would need to look something vaguely like the following:
Week of July 23rd: Auditions, if we want them, maybe Tuesday and Friday afternoons or something.
August 1-17: Filming, probably 2-3 days per week, maybe some half-days.
Does something like this work for people? Who’s going on vacation and won’t be around? This is not a commitment at this point, but we need to decide very soon if we’re going to do this.
I think that it would probably be best to just try to get the people we had last year, and some others those people know, as many of the major roles are already filled. While we will need large groups of agents and terrorists a few times, there really aren’t new major roles, at this point.
